From our family to yours
may you have a
very merry bright & cheery
happy little Christmas
and a happy New Year!
Fall in love with this gorgeous little family why don’t ya?
It won’t be difficult once you see these genuine smiles and baby Barrett’s big beautiful eyes.
I worked these lovelies in for a spur of the moment session,
and even with no preparation, I think this session turned out pretty well.
Thanks so much, Brandi & Larry, for letting me document these precious moments.
They say Ohio is for lovers, but obviously they have never been to Texas. Everything is bigger here, especially the love!
This is what marriage looks like. Well, this, and quite a few funny outtakes that I can’t share here.
Kyle and Kayla are truly best friends in love.
The kind of love that makes you happy just to see them together.
The kind of love that will not only stand the test of time and all life may throw their way, but grow with it.
The kind of love you rarely see but when you do it renews your faith and hope for true love.
Happy ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY my precious ones!
My Grandmother taught me very early on that one must always have a project and I am a firm believer in the theory. I think idle hands and mind make for a miserable heart and that a project to keep you busy is good therapy. That being said, I thought it would be fun to start sharing some of my projects with you.
I made this crochet cowl for our eccentric Aunt Carla. It was my first experiment with the crocodile stitch and as I was working on it I kept thinking how much she would enjoy the colors and the unusual look. I finished it off with a very vintage looking diamond brooch and though I like it best as a cowl it can also be worn as a shawl.
Right before I wrapped it up I thought to snap a picture of it. I wish I had taken more now but it has already traveled to its new home in Dallas, TX. If I make another I will be sure to take many more pictures of it!
I started crocheting this last August (2011) after I had some surgery and was being forced to sit in bed and rest. I am not good at sitting still for any amount of time and always have to be up doing at least a few things at once. I had seen some really cute crochet baby hats online and decided to see if I could make one and then it just went from there. I can’t help but wonder now, why didn’t I do this when I was stuck in the hospital for three months with my pregnancy? It would have made that whole time a lot more bearable and productive. I am still learning and I am not good at reading or writing patterns yet and always enjoy making something up in my head like I did with this. I am thinking of writing out the pattern and making a tutorial to post if anyone would be interested.
Oh, by the way, Aunt Carla loved it!

Let me guess, you didn’t believe me when I said all of my friends just happen to be amazing and beautiful, did you? Well, I love to say it… so, I told you so! Meet another of my oldest friends Keri, her husband Jack, and their adorable family…
It was such an honor to be able to capture this time for them and to do the first professional session for their family.
I hope we have many, many more to come!
I have known Scott since, well forever it seems, and thank goodness for that because through him I met Kristy. How can I even begin to tell you just how AWESOME Kristy is? Words fail to adequately express just how beautiful, fun, crazy, supportive, kind, adorable and totally amazing she is. Scott and Kristy have a really cute little family and I am so glad I got to capture this special time in their lives for them. I just know these images will be cherished for years to come, and that my friends, makes my heart happy!
In a world full of fair-weather friends, with true friends few and far between, you are a blessing Kristy. You are one of my very best friends in the world, and you know how picky I am when choosing the people I allow to be close to my heart. Thank you for choosing me too.
Another wonderful family photo session on another blazing hot Texas day. As if the kids weren’t adorable enough they ran up to me saying, ” Hello, Ms. Kim” and my heart totally melted right then and there. Jesma is just as beautiful as she was in high school, only much more tan since she and Chad just got back from a trip to Mexico. (I am so jealous!) They went to celebrate being married for 11 years and anyone can see they are still madly in love. I shot until I was drenched and we were all melting and worn out, but through it all the kids were great, we got some great images, and we had a really fun time! Oh boy, how I do truly LOVE my job!
